RAMY JALLAD, Group CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), said he is looking forward to seeing increased bilateral investment and technological cooperation between RAKEZ and Shenzhen in the very near future.

近日，阿联酋哈伊马角经济特区（RAKEZ）集团首席执行官拉米·贾拉德率团访问广东，到广州、深圳和东莞考察，以期为经贸合作开辟新机遇。

Jallad made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Shenzhen Daily recently, as he led a delegation to Guangdong Province and visited the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan in a bid to open up new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation.

在接受英文《深圳日报》专访时，贾拉德表示，他期待在不久的将来看到哈伊马角经济特区和深圳之间开展更多的双边贸易投资和技术合作。

Capitalizing on the favorable trade and investment climate between China and the UAE, RAKEZ has entrusted consultancy Deloitte to help it connect with Guangdong companies that have a desire to expand into overseas markets.

近年来，中国和中东经贸合作保持良好发展势头。乘此东风，阿联酋哈伊马角经济特区委托德勤管理咨询，帮助其在广东寻找具有海外市场拓展需求的企业进行投资合作商务洽谈。

RAKEZ is based in the heart of Ras Al Khaimah, an emirate that lies in the northernmost part of the UAE.

哈伊马角是地处阿联酋最北部的一个酋长国。哈伊马角经济特区位于哈伊马角酋长国的中心。

According to Jallad, the purpose of his visit was to meet with entrepreneurs, investors and decision-makers to show them that they benefit from the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) by establishing companies or branches in Ras Al Khaimah, which can serve as a gateway to the UAE, the Middle East and the rest of the world.

贾拉德表示，他此行的目的是会见企业家、投资者和决策者，向他们展示如何通过在哈伊马角设立公司或分支机构从共建“一带一路”中获益，因为哈伊马角可以成为通往阿联酋、中东和世界其他地区的门户。

“What we aim to achieve is to show them that Ras Al Khaimah is the right choice and right place for them to grow,” Jallad told Shenzhen Daily.

“我们的目标是向他们展示哈伊马角是业务发展壮大的正确选择和地点。”贾拉德告诉记者。

Jallad said that the strong relation between the UAE and China has greatly boosted trade and investment between the two countries, as China is the largest trading partner of the UAE, and the UAE is China’s largest non-oil trading partner in the Middle East and North Africa.

贾拉德表示，阿联酋与中国的密切关系极大地促进了两国之间的贸易和投资，因为中国是阿联酋第一大贸易伙伴，而阿联酋是中国在中东和北非最大的非石油贸易伙伴。

According to Jallad, the BRI has helped Chinese companies go global.

他说，“一带一路”倡议助推了很多中国企业走向世界。

“It’s a very good initiative. We feel that we need to get more involved to show that Ras Al Khaimah is a good destination for business, logistics and trading, and for Chinese products and services to reach the global market.”

“这是一个非常好的倡议。我们需要更多地参与进来，以表明哈伊马角是商业、物流和贸易的绝佳目的地，也是中国产品和服务进入全球市场的枢纽。”

Jallad emphasized that RAKEZ takes pride in cost-effectiveness, ease of doing business and comprehensive services for manufacturers and businesses. For instance, one can set up an SME in the economic zone in less than an hour and a manufacturing company in less than two days.

贾拉德强调，哈伊马角经济特区致力于为制造商和企业降低成本、提升经商便利度和提供全方位的服务。例如，在哈伊马角经济特区，创业者可以在一个小时内成立一家中小企业，用不到两天的时间成立一家制造公司。

“We make sure that all is in place so that companies can plug and play and focus on their business. We, as a service provider, provide all the A-to-Z services and value-added services to our clients,” he said.

他说：“我们确保一切准备就绪，这样公司就可以专注于自己的业务。作为服务提供商，我们为客户提供全方位的服务和增值服务。”

According to Jallad, currently, there are approximately 500 Chinese companies in RAKEZ, mostly in the fields of trading, manufacturing, electronics, IT and software.

贾拉德表示，目前哈伊马角经济特区大约有500家中国公司，主要从事贸易、制造、电子、IT和软件领域。

“I think one of the things that I really admire about Shenzhen is how fast distribution of products happen to make sure that it gets to the market all the way from supply chain to manufacturing to marketplace,” Jallad shared.

他分享道：“我认为深圳让我很钦佩的一点是，从供应链到制造再到市场的各个环节，产品的分销速度非常快。”

“That’s fascinating, especially with a big market like China or the city itself,” he said, adding that he is also impressed with the large number of SMEs and businesses that support the manufacturing or trading sectors.

“这很吸引人，尤其是在中国或深圳这样的大市场。”此外，深圳在制造业和贸易领域有着数量庞大的中小企业，这也让他印象十分深刻。

Jallad believes that RAKEZ and Shenzhen can collaborate in many fields, and entrepreneurs and investors from both sides can work with each other to increase trade and share technology or produce products and services together.

贾拉德认为，哈伊马角经济特区和深圳可以在多领域开展合作，双方的企业家和投资者搭建合作共赢的桥梁，扩大贸易规模，开展技术交流或合作生产产品和服务。
