Razzokov noted that Shenzhen, though a young city, has become a model for rapid economic growth, financial innovation, and urban development — all while improving energy efficiency. “During the roadshow, we were introduced to the potential of Shenzhen’s enterprises,” he said. “Areas such as carbon neutrality, urban planning, public transportation, social engagement, accessibility, mobility, and sustainable development could become key directions for our joint projects.”

He highlighted that ties between Shenzhen and Uzbekistan have been deepening in recent years. “It is no coincidence that last year, during the Belt and Road Forum, our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held major meetings with Chinese entrepreneurs right here in Shenzhen,” Razzokov said. “BYD, which represents Shenzhen in Uzbekistan, has already established the only electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturing plant in Central Asia — located in our country.”

Looking ahead, Razzokov expressed optimism about expanding cooperation in fields such as mobility, inclusive urban spaces, and carbon independence. “We place great hopes on our cooperation with Shenzhen,” he added.

He also underscored Uzbekistan’s growing commitment to technological innovation. “We are constantly working with our Chinese partners, including colleagues from ICLEI — an international organization dedicated to sustainable urban development,” he said. “We are also familiar with many Shenzhen projects that are being developed with the help of artificial intelligence.”

According to Razzokov, Uzbekistan has recently launched a new national AI development strategy. “In every district and region of the republic, we are implementing new technologies powered by AI. Tashkent, as the capital and pioneer, is where the first pilot projects always take place,” he explained.

"The areas of carbon neutrality, urban planning, public transportation, social engagement, and sustainable development would become key directions for our joint projects," he said.
