“What makes Bao’an so special for manufacturing?” To find out, Chico, an international student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, joined Chen Xilin, a civil servant from Invest Bao’an Shenzhen, on a field visit.

“是什么让宝安制造业如此特别？”怀揣着这个疑问，香港中文大学（深圳）的留学生Chico，与宝安区投资推广署的陈熙林一同，踏上了寻找答案的旅程。

Their first stop was Xingtong Building, the headquarters of Asia Pacific Satellite.

Chico和陈熙林首先来到了空天技术产业集群代表性企业——亚太卫星宽带通信（深圳）有限公司总部所在地星通大厦。

They examined a model of the Shenzhen Satellite, designed and manufactured in Shenzhen — a high-throughput satellite that provides high-speed broadband for vessels and aircrafts across the Pacific Ocean. Bao'an hosts 88 aerospace companies, spanning satellite research and development, communication systems and advanced aviation materials, forming a complete ecosystem.

他们近距离观摩了高通量卫星“深圳星”模型，这是一个在深圳设计制造，能够为穿越太平洋的船只和飞机提供高速宽带的高通量卫星。陈熙林介绍道，宝安还汇聚了88家空天技术重点企业，形成了集产品研发、生产制造、系统集成、应用服务的空天技术产业链条，在卫星关键零部件等卫星终端及行业应用方面，具有突出优势。宝安企业积极布局各大应用领域，合力打造了一个完整的空天技术产业生态。

According to Chen, Bao'an has put in place supportive policies and targeted services to help companies in strategic emerging industries tackle specific operational and development challenges.

据陈熙林介绍，宝安针对战略性新兴产业的需求，制定富有针对性与支持性的政策，全心全意为企业开展精准服务，帮助企业解决在投资落地、经营壮大等各环节所遇到的问题。

High-quality industrial space is crucial to development of industrial clusters. Chico and Chen then visited the Xinqiaodong Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park, a representative park featuring next‑generation industrial facilities.

高质量的产业空间是产业集群发展的重要保障。Chico和陈熙林接着参观了新型工业厂房代表性园区——新桥东先进制造产业园。园区厂房不仅仅设在一层，在大楼的其他楼层也有布局。

Unlike traditional single‑story layouts, production facilities here occupy multiple floors of the same buildings — a deliberate shift from two‑dimensional to three‑dimensional production space. This vertical approach maximizes land use and operational efficiency. The park even includes a high‑rise factory designed to accommodate heavy machinery.

这一设计并非简单的厂房叠加，而是推动生产空间从平面向立体转变的系统工程，形成垂直化的空间形态，让制造企业高效利用楼宇空间，形成一栋楼就是一条产业链的高效协同格局。

与此同时，新型工业厂房质量更优，楼宇承重荷载能力更可靠，配备智能化的运营管理系统，提升了人流、物流的运行效率。这种模式深刻改变了工业生产的载体形式，旨在最大限度地挖掘土地利用潜力，让宝贵的产业空间创造出更高的产出价值。

“Bao’an is not only about making things. It’s actually rewriting the way that manufacturing is done. I’m so excited because I see that the future is here,” said Chico.

Chico感叹道：“宝安这片土地不仅是传统制造业的沃土，她还在不断改写制造业的产业形态，我很兴奋，因为我看到未来就在这里。”
